The Red Sox are mid. They’ve been mid for the better part of three years now. But within that ball of mediocrity, signs are starting to emerge that the incomplete 2024 roster contains a few legit cornerstone pieces to the next great Red Sox team.
Tonight, two of them flashed their beacons of hope across Fenway Park.
Ceddanne Rafaela hit two homes, drove in five, and made another beautiful snag in centerfield to put his stamp firmly on the game. Meanwhile, on the mound, Tanner Houck posted another strong outing. (More on him in a moment.)
