The Red Sox continue to roll through these last few games as the offense has been relentless for much of this spring. They scored seven runs on Saturday against the Braves in a 7-2 victory, but it was the starter who was most encouraging. Here are the notes from the day.
A whiffy kind of Pérez Day
Martín Pérez was one of the few bright spots — relatively speaking, at least — on the pitching side for the 2020 Red Sox, so fans are excited to have him back in 2021. It’s even more exciting that he should be better cast as a back-end arm this time around, which is where he fits in part because he doesn’t really miss bats.
