Zack Littell is as “2024 starting pitcher” as it gets. This is a compliment. The righty, abandoned by the Red Sox around this time last year, quickly caught on with the Rays as a reliable reliever and pitched his way into the starting rotation to start the year. Given the Sox’s incredible start to the season on the mound, it’s hard to complain, especially when the guy you let go, Littell, is staring you down on a Tuesday night.
Of course, Cooper Criswell is the Littell story in reverse, and also started the game, but in Littell’s half inning nothing much happened.
