This was a dumb baseball game. That’s all I have to say on the matter.
I really have to write about this game, huh? I’m going to be totally honest with everyone right now: I don’t really want to! This was a dumb, boring, slog of a game and everyone would have been better off if it didn’t happen. That said, it did have a little bit of excitement, particularly early, with Darwinzon Hernandez on the mound for his first major-league start. It was clear before the game even started that he probably wasn’t ready for this role long-term, but he’s also the top arm in the farm system so how could you not be excited, ya know?
