Another day, another loss. The Red Sox did nothing well in this game, which has certainly been a theme in this season. Martín Pérez only tossed three innings because of rain, but he allowed three runs. Josh Osich tossed a couple innings out of the bullpen and allowed a homer in each of them. Austin Brice gave one up, too. The offense was mostly doing nothing as the night went on, and when they occasionally had some momentum they were liable for a double play to take it all away. If you’re looking for positives, Josh Taylor looked good in his return with a nine-pitch perfect inning, Heath Hembree continued his strong season and Christian Vázquez had a couple hits.
