The Yankees might have kept their season alive with a Game 4 win over the Dodgers in the World Series, but the reputation of New York’s fans took another hit after an ugly incident between a couple of spectators and Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts on Tuesday.
During the first inning of New York’s eventual 11-4 win over Los Angeles, Betts jumped up along the right-field wall in foul territory in an attempt to corral a popup from Yankees leadoff batter Gleyber Torres.
Even though Betts snagged the ball before it landed in the stands, he found himself tangled up with a pair of Yankees fans.
