The Red Sox are not exactly firing on all cylinders to start the year, but that’s not to be expected. It’s a long season that will feature ups and downs for all areas of the roster, and a big part of the marathon that is a baseball season is one group of guys picking up another. To start the year, the offense hasn’t been great. They’ve gotten on base some, but much like last year they haven’t been able to capitalize. As you’ll see, they struggled mightily in this one to come through in big situations. Fortunately, the starting pitching has been absolutely tremendous all year, and that continued on Sunday.
