PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The leader of one of the Boston Red Sox's minor league affiliates has died. Pawtucket Red Sox President James Skeffington was 73.

Team spokeswoman Patti Doyle says Skeffington died Sunday night while jogging in Barrington, Rhode Island.

Skeffington had been the team's public face pushing to build a stadium on land in downtown Providence.
