Pete Frates will soon be immortalized as a bobblehead.
The former BC baseball player who inspired the Ice Bucket Challenge movement to raise awareness and money to fight ALS will be honored by the Lowell Spinners this summer with his own bobblehead.
The Spinners will give the bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans who arrive at their July 26 game. They’ll make 1,000 more available now for those who donate $20 to the Frates #3 Fund.
"Pete and his family have really been inspiring as he continues to fight this terrible disease," said Spinners president and GM Tim Bawmann.
