DETROIT -- Left-hander Henry Owens will start for the Red Sox in Sunday's series finale against the Tigers at Comerica Park. Owens got the call from Triple-A Pawtucket after left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez was scratched from the start due to lingering tightness in his left hamstring.
After Saturday night's 3-2 victory over the Tigers, Red Sox manager John Farrell said the team will announce a corresponding move Sunday morning to open a spot for Owens on the 25-man roster.
Rodriguez was slated to make the start after leaving his Tuesday start early with tightness in his hamstring.
