Despite giving the team some help at the deadline for the first time since 2021 the Red Sox entered their now annual collapse phase and thanks to a sweep at the hands of the Mets are now 70-70.
There are 22 games left in the season. Boston needs 9 wins to improve from the 2022 & 2023 morass. 11 to finish at .500. And a massive 12 to finish above .500.
