Happy Monday.
The Red Sox are 2-7 since the All-Star Break going from one of the hottest, best teams to the Chicago White Sox. Well...given they have lost 14 straight maybe not quite that bad.
The good news: Boston, at 55-49, is still just 1 game back of the Wild Card.
Triston Casas is starting a rehab assignment in Worcester on (probably) Wednesday.
Craig Breslow is still looking to add a right-handed hitter in addition to swapping the backup catcher. He’s also looking at starters and bullpen help. He’s cleaning up some of the Rule 5 bait that won’t be around past December anyway to do it.
