Despite Alex Cora’s remarks all winter about envisioning a then-unsigned Alex Bregman as a second base star in the making the former Houston Astros infielder is looking like he’s going to play the hot corner.
The reporting out of camp is that he’s not even in the mix at second base for the Red Sox.
The Sox are committed to giving Campbell every chance to make the team. Story is healthy, and the plan is to play him four times a week in spring training to build up momentum headed into the season.
