Ken Rosenthal apparently hinted/speculated/wildly guessed that Corbin Burnes might take a short-term deal after losing out on the Blake Snell and Max Fried contracts. There is definitely lots of winter left for him to get paid. But could a short deal with an opt out after the first season intrigue the Red Sox into going after an “older” pitcher?
