The Red Sox looked to get away from .500 on Wednesday night in Baltimore behind Cy Young contender (anyone? anyone?) Kutter Crawford against the man they saw in the home opener for the 2024 campaign: Actual, real-life Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes.
True to form, the hurlers started with clean first innings, both notching two strikeouts. It wasn’t exactly that simple, as Wilyer Abreu had a nice-ish catch against Ryan Mountcastle with two outs:
