Roman Anthony has experienced a meteoric rise in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) this year.
He put on a show and won MLB’s inaugural All-Star Futures Skills Showcase in July. Less than one month later, Anthony was promoted to Triple-A Worcester after playing less than 100 total games at Double-A Portland. Then, earlier this month, the 20-year-old was named MLB’s No. 1 prospect by Baseball America.
To top things off, with one game left in Worcester’s regular season, Anthony owns a 1.000 OPS through 34 contests with the club.
To say he’s excelled at MiLB’s highest level would be an understatement.
