It appears that Alejandro De Aza is not in Boston just to sit the bench
With Shane Victorino still working his way back from a hamstring strain and Daniel Nava yet to swing a bat while he recovers from a left hand bruise, De Aza should have a chance to make an impact with his new club.
The Sox have gone through a few bench players who weren’t given much of a chance to play (Carlos Peguero, Jeff Bianchi, Luis Jimenez and Travis Shaw have made very brief appearances so far this season), but De Aza could be one that sticks.
