Moreland delivers walkoff homer for Red Sox, 3-2

Whether it’s a pitching duel or a slugfest, a shutout or a comeback, the Red Sox keep finding different ways to win these days.

But the walkoff has become their signature style.

They had another one last night. This time it was Mitch Moreland’s two-out home run in the 11th inning, lifting the Red Sox to their fourth straight win, 3-2, against the White Sox at Fenway Park.

Of their five wins this homestand, three have been walkoffs. There was Sandy Leon’s nifty slide against the Royals last Saturday, Christian Vazquez’s three-run homer against the Indians on Tuesday, and now Moreland, who wasn’t even in the starting lineup against the White Sox.
