DUNEDIN, Fla. -- It took 19 batters for the Blue Jays and Red Sox to register a hit on Monday, but once the fourth inning came around, the bats woke up in both dugouts. Led by Kendrys Morales, Toronto downed Boston, 4-3, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.
The Blue Jays didn't get their first hit until the bottom of the fourth when Morales reached on a single. Outfielder Darrell Ceciliani followed with an RBI single before second baseman Darwin Barney added a two-run double to give the Blue Jays the 3-1 lead.
