Mookie Betts on his stat-defying stolen base: ‘I just wanted some tacos’

In the first pivotal play of the 2018 World Series, Mookie Betts succeeded where only a few players have in 2018: Stealing a base off of Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw.

Having reached on a single to shallow center, Betts took off on Kershaw’s first pitch to Andrew Benintendi. The throw from Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes was offline, and Betts slid safely into second base.
