By the time the first day of the World Series of Bowling was complete on Tuesday night, 12 separate bowlers had thrown 300-games, knocking down 12 straight strikes on their way to bowling perfection.
Also at National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., Mookie Betts opened with a 224 game, his first career game as a professional bowler. It would’ve been a strong score for any bowler, but particularly for someone who was traveling the country as a professional baseball player just more than two months ago.
It was Betts’ first game out of nine on what must’ve been a rigorous day for the 23-year-old.
