Three-time All-Star Dick McAuliffe died Friday, the Detroit Tigers have confirmed.
McAuliffe was 76.
He played 14 seasons for the Tigers and was named to the All-Star team three years in a row, from 1965 to 1967. He also was part of the 1968 Tigers team that won the World Series.
The Tigers traded him to the Red Sox in October 1973, and he played his final two seasons in Boston before retiring after the 1975 campaign.
