BOSTON -- Matt Barnes' performance against the Kansas City Royals might have been proof that too much of a good thing can sometimes turn bad. While evaluating Barnes from the dugout during Saturday night's 6-3 loss, Boston Red Sox interim manager Torey Lovullo cautioned the 25-year-old righty, who was making his second major league start, about hanging around the strike zone a little too often.
