Lowe, Youkilis and Lowell to be inducted in next year's Red Sox Hall of Fame

The Red Sox announced that next July they will induct five new members to their Red Sox Hall of Fame: Kevin Youkilis, Derek Lowe, Mike Lowell, the late John Frank "Buck" Freeman and, for the non-uniformed inductee, Alphonso "Al" Green.

The club also selected the major league debut of Pumpsie Green on July 21, 1959, as its "Memorable Red Sox Moment." Green became the first African-American in Red Sox history. The Red Sox were the last team to integrate, doing so a dozen years after Jackie Robinson debuted with the Dodgers.

The induction ceremony will take place on May 24 at a Red Sox Foundation gala at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.
