BALTIMORE -- For the first time in his major league career, Henry Owens completed a start without issuing a walk.
Owens, the uber-talented left-hander whose 6-foot-7 frame has made it difficult for him to spot pitches on a consistent basis, was locked in on Wednesday night, painting his low-90 fastballs on the outside edges of the plate and fooling the Orioles with a heavy dose of his signature changeups.
He tossed 7 u2154 scoreless innings in the Sox’ 10-1 win, striking out four and allowing just six hits.”
Interim manager Torey Lovullo said it was the best the Sox have seen Owens through eight major league starts.
