Lovullo: 'Nothing imminent' for Hanley Ramirez return to Red Sox' lineup

Hanley Watch continues.

It has been 10 days since Hanley Ramirez was eligible to be reinstated from the disabled list. But although Ramirez has tested his sore right shoulder by taking regular rounds of batting practice and increasing the intensity of his workouts at his new first-base position with infield coach Brian Butterfield, interim manager Torey Lovullo said "nothing is imminent" in terms of when -- or even if -- he will play again this season.

"He's feeling much better -- his shoulder is improving -- but what he shared with me was he wants to make sure he's pain-free before he gets out there," Lovullo said before the Red Sox open their final homestand tonight at Fenway Park.
