The Baltimore Orioles, as an entity, are in an interesting spot entering the 2025 baseball season.
This is the same organization that’s just four years removed from losing 110 games. I’m sure you’d be hard pressed to find many people down in Birdland complaining about the trajectory of the club in recent years, as they’ve established themselves as American League contenders thanks to a slew of young talent that has come up through their minor league system.
Yet with those strides come expectations—expectations that the Orioles have yet to meet. It’s all well and good when your young guns are developing together and the power of friendship is on full display in the summer, but Baltimore has failed to win a single playoff game with their current foundation in place.
