John Farrell is really starting to put down some roots. In his fifth season as Red Sox manager, Farrell last week moved into sixth place for most games as Red Sox manager, passing Jimy Williams. Perhaps as early as this week, he will pass Williams again, this time for sixth place on the career wins list for Sox managers. Assuming the club picks up Farrell’s 2018 option and he completes that season, he should easily move into fourth place in wins.
