Call him Joe Cool.
Or maybe Joe Cooler?
Regardless, nobody dumps ice-cold water on Red Sox momentum quite like Joe Kelly, who was at it again last night. Fresh off taking two of the three games from the Royals last weekend in Kansas City, the Sox returned to Fenway Park and promptly were dropped down a four-run hole by their No. 5 starter en route to a 6-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.
“My command was off,” Kelly said. “I couldn’t throw the fastball where I wanted to and fell behind some hitters, which ultimately led to the big (second) inning there and ended up running out of the game there.
