Joe Kelly gets good news from MRI, but season over

TORONTO — Joe Kelly had a familiar tone in his voice when he sat at his locker at Rogers Centre yesterday and explained that his most recent arm injury was probably nothing to be worried about. He’s worked through tendinitis before.

The good news is that an MRI revealed no structural or ligament damage in Kelly’s gifted right arm. The bad news is that he’ll finish the 2015 season the same way he started it, shelved with an arm injury that he hopes won’t be serious.

Kelly began the season with a biceps injury that forced him to miss some time at the end of spring training.
