BOSTON — NESN announced Thursday night that color analyst Jerry Remy will be back for the 2016 season, his 29th with the network, dispelling speculation that the regional sports network had plans to introduce a new partner for Dave O’Brien, who is succeeding Don Orsillo as play-by-play man.
Remy will be in the booth for “at least 100 games,” according to a statement released by NESN. In a new development, NESN announced that analysts Dennis Eckersley and Steve Lyons will also be in the booth for a “significant number” of games, and that at times NESN will go to a three-man team for game broadcasts.
