FORT MYERS, Fla. — Jerry Remy made his first appearance in Red Sox camp Tuesday morning and is scheduled to make his 2019 NESN debut in the booth when the Red Sox play the Yankees in Tampa on Friday afternoon.
“I came down early to be around the team for a few days,’’ said Remy. “I feel as good as I’ve ever felt, and hopefully it stays that way,’’ said Remy, who has dealt with numerous cancer relapses.
After missing most of the second half of last season because of his latest relapse, the former second baseman said he was feeling fine and looked terrific.
