Red Sox NESN analyst Jerry Remy tweeted Saturday he is cancer-free following his first scan since undergoing treatments for his most recent battle with the disease in August.
Friday was a very good day for me. Had my first scan since going through treatments. Highly successful. Cancer free for now and hopefully forever. So pleased !!!!

Remy, who celebrated his 66th birthday on Thursday, took a leave of absence from the booth after his August diagnosis.
Remy has faced multiple battles with cancer since his first diagnosis of lung cancer in 2008.
