The good news for the Red Sox is reliever Jean Machi thinks he has figured out the reason for his 2015 struggles.
Machi, who was claimed off waivers from San Francisco on Tuesday and joined the team yesterday, posted a 1-0 record with a 5.14 ERA in 35 innings pitched with the Giants.
“Truthfully I think there’s been some mechanical issues that I’ve been trying to work through this season,” the right-hander said with the help of translator Adrian Lorenzo before the Sox hosted the Chicago White Sox last night at Fenway Park. “That I feel like little by little I’ve been working and I think I’m passed that now.
