Jarren Duran reflects on 2-game suspension before rejoining Red Sox

Jarren Duran returned to the Red Sox lineup on Wednesday after serving an unpaid, two-game suspension imposed by the team after the outfielder directed a homophobic slur toward a fan during Sunday’s game at Fenway Park.

Duran, who batted leadoff on Wednesday against the Rangers, addressed the media before the game.

“I’m still kind of upset at myself and I know there’s a lot of people upset at me,” Duran said, per MassLive’s Christopher Smith. “So I don’t how I’m going to take today. But I’m just going to go out there and just try to focus on some baseball.
