As he continues to make a push for an All-Star bid, Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran has one more stat to add to his steadily growing résumé.
According to The Boston Globe‘s Pete Abraham, Duran joined Nomar Garciaparra and Babe Ruth as the only Red Sox players to record at least seven home runs, 10 triples, and 21 doubles in 76 games to start a season.
Garciaparra had 11 homers, 12 triples, and 22 doubles in 2003. Ruth had 11 homers, 11 triples, and 21 doubles in 1918.
Duran, who leads Major League Baseball with 10 triples, is three away from becoming the first Red Sox player since Garciaparra in 2003 with 13.
