BOSTON -- Red Sox second baseman Brock Holt exited Sunday night's game against the Tigers after five innings with left knee tightness.
Holt stumbled going around first base on a first-inning single but remained in the game following a visit from the trainer. He grounded out, added another single and played four more innings in the field before being replaced by Jemile Weeks in the top of the sixth.
Weeks was called up to the Majors on Sunday to provide infield depth after second baseman Dustin Pedroia went on the disabled list Saturday.
