In my media column for our baseball preview section, I talked to Sean McDonough about his return to calling Red Sox games for the first significant stretch since he left after the 2004 season. (He has called several Sox games for ESPN through the years.)
In that piece, I laid out the gist of his schedule, which is expected to include 32 games as part of WEEI’s rotating cast alongside Joe Castiglione on its Red Sox radio broadcasts.
Here is how the rest of the broadcaster groupings are shaping up for the first month of the season:
March 28-April 7: Castiglione and former Mets and Padres voice Josh Lewin will call all 11 of these games, all on the road, which includes four games at Seattle to open the season, four more at Oakland, and three at Arizona before the Red Sox finally return to Fenway for their home opener.
