After the Yankees decisively lost the AL Wild Card Game, manager Aaron Boone said some bizarre things . . . like how the rest of the American League had finally caught up to the Yankees.
I'm not sure how a team can have been outplaying the entire league during the exact same 11-year time period in which it has not played a single World Series game.
The league has closed the gap on us.
