BALTIMORE -- Welcome back, Hanley Ramirez.
Round and round he goes. How he’ll hit, nobody knows.
The fragility of his body is working against him at 33 years of age, but Ramirez will give it another go as the starting designated hitter for the Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles for tonight’s series finale. He's 6-for-45 (.133) with one home run, one walk and 14 strikeouts in his last 11 games.
The Red Sox can clinch a playoff berth if they win and the Los Angeles Angels lose, but merely a playoff berth isn’t what this team wants.
