MIAMI -- Hanley Ramirez, once a three-time All-Star shortstop for the Marlins, did it to his former team again. With two outs in the 13th inning on Tuesday, Ramirez blistered a two-run double that lifted the Red Sox to a 4-2 victory over Miami at Marlins Park.
Boston swept the two-game set, and on Monday, Ramirez connected on a two-run homer in a 7-3 win. On Tuesday, the decisive hit came off Tayron Guerrero, who intentionally walked Andrew Benintendi to get to Ramirez.
The Red Sox capped a 5-1 road trip, but not without plenty of drama against the Marlins, who went 2-4 on their homestand.
