SAN DIEGO — Colin Rea made the most of his major-league debut.
He earned the win by pitching well into the sixth. And he collected a hit in his first at-bat and scored a run.
Rea, who had over 70 friends and family members in attendance on Tuesday, gave up three runs on seven hits as the Padres beat the Reds 11-6 in the second of a three-game series.
San Diego scored three runs in the first and five more in the second as they chased Cincinnati starter Michael Lorenzen.
Rea allowed the first two batters to reach base but recovered with a double play.
