The first look at Netflix’s upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary series covering the Red Sox 2024 season is out.
In it, Boston first baseman Triston Casas goes through the difficulties of a hitting slump, including his post at-bat conversation with himself as he processes the challenge of hitting at the Major League level.
Casas, 26, plainly addresses the mental strain of being a professional baseball player.
“It’s a bad feeling when you feel like you’re the reason why you’re losing,” he notes in the voiceover commentary.
The unvarnished glimpse into the Red Sox world is potentially what the production will provide for fans, especially given that Boston’s 2024 record (81-81) was outside the playoff picture.
