A young woman appeared to get hit by the face by a scorching foul ball off the bat of Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius in the fifth inning of Friday's game against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
She was seated close to where Tonya Carpenter was sitting when she was struck by a broken bat last month. The unnamed woman from Friday's game was a few sections further away from home plate, sections left unprotected by any netting.
As soon as she was struck nearby fans reacted quickly, and one man even took off his shirt to apply it to her face.
