NEW YORK -- Trade deadline? Dave Dombrowski didn't need no stinkin' trade deadline to reshape the Boston Red Sox.
Beginning with last week's deal for veteran infielder Aaron Hill, the team's president of baseball operations made four -- count 'em, four -- trades in eight days to address the Red Sox's needs for another right-handed bat (Hill from the Milwaukee Brewers for two minor leaguers), versatility off the bench (Michael Martinez from the Cleveland Indians for cash), late-inning relief (Brad Ziegler from the Arizona Diamondbacks for two minor leaguers) and a reliable starting pitcher (Drew Pomeranz from the San Diego Padres for top pitching prospect Anderson Espinoza).
