Eduardo Rodriguez wasn't tipping his pitches, Red Sox manager says

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Eduardo Rodriguez’s rookie year has taken a turn for the worse.

Rodriguez was mysteriously getting whacked around as if the Angels knew what was coming on Monday afternoon, when he allowed seven runs and was pulled in the second inning, paving way for a hot and ugly 11-1 Red Sox loss in the first game of a doubleheader.

There was speculation that Rodriguez might’ve been tipping his pitches again. On June 25, it was believed the 22-year-old lefty was using different motions in his delivery depending on the pitch he was throwing against in the Orioles.
