TORONTO -- Expect to see rookie sensation Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound two more times this year.
Rodriguez has thrown 158 innings this year and is unlikely to surpass the 170-inning mark. He’ll make his next start on Monday.
Rodriguez threw just 126 innings last year.
Henry Owens is likely to get three more starts, his next one coming on Tuesday. He’s tossed 167 innings this year after throwing 159 last year, so the Sox seem unconcerned about the jump.
“We want to make sure we get through the season healthy and strong, making him as comfortable and confident as possible for next year,” interim manager Torey Lovullo said.
