BALTIMORE — Eduardo Rodriguez had always pitched well in this ballpark, and if he could take back four pitches from Thursday night, there would be no arguing whether that’s still the case.
Those four pitches, though, were home runs, and it was Rodriguez’ worst start of the year, a 7-5 Red Sox loss to the Orioles at Camden Yards.
Instead of winning their third straight and keeping pace with the first-place Yankees, the Red Sox fell within a half-game of dropping back into third place in the division. The Red Sox and Orioles are now tied in the loss column, with the Rays not far behind in fourth place.
