BALTIMORE -- It was never easy for Eduardo Rodriguez against the Orioles Monday night, but that might be just how the Red Sox wanted it.
Rodriguez, the uber-talented lefty who has sky-high potential but has often lost composure with runners on base this season, was forced to work out of jams in five of the six innings he pitched, yet held the Orioles to just one run over 5 u2153 innings.
Rodriguez struck out nine but the Red Sox’ red-hot offense was stymied by Kevin Gausman, who held them to two hits in the Sox’ 2-0 loss.
