WASHINGTON -- Perhaps Eduardo Nunez is ready to get hot. The veteran right-handed hitter unloaded for a three-run homer on the second pitch of his first at-bat against Nats righty Tanner Roark in the top of the second inning on Tuesday at Nationals Park.
Nunez, who was a big spark for the Red Sox down the stretch last season after being acquired from the Giants, is off to a quiet start at the plate in 2018.
But he tore into Roark's 90.7-mph fastball and smashed it over the Nats' bullpen in left-center.
